The story of Ms. Kim Giao - a woman who has vacated Phu Quoc Island

If you have the opportunity to visit Phu Quoc and speak to people on the island, you will hear from the historical figure Ms. Kim Giao - a woman who has publicly discovered Phu Quoc Island.

Ms. Kim Giao originally came from the royal lineage of the Chan Lap royal family and had to flee to Phu Quoc Island because of her own disappearance. Here, she demanded, built a farm and used extensive meadows for buffalo herds. Not only that, it also recruited people and reclaimed wasteland to cultivate and produce. If you're traveling to Phu Quoc today, you'll find rice fields called Dong Ba, where Kim Giao once recaptured the cultivation. At that time there were still many trees and traces of animal stables in the middle of the field.

Previously, when King Nguyen Anh hid on the island to avoid the persecution of the Tay son, Kim Giao himself helped eat the king. Perhaps in memory of their efforts to evacuate the island and help the king, Dinh Ba (Bung Dinh Ba) was founded on the right bank of the Cua Can River. Today the palace was restored to a more spacious person on the island of Phu Quoc, who often organizes services for them on the full moon of the first lunar month in the lunar calendar.

Someone also said when Ms. Kim Giao returned home to leave a herd of buffalo on Phu Quoc Island. They reproduce in the wild as wild buffalo herds and in the 1960s people came across these herds on the North Island.

Why are there so many Bai Ngu in Phu Quoc?
It is said that King Gia Long - Nguyen Anh - had to travel many times in the past when he was confronted with the Tay Son family and took a boat to flee to Phu Quoc Island. Once, in May 1782, Nguyen Anh was stationed in Bai Khem in the south of the island when he was searched by Tay Son troops. In no other way did Nguyen Anh change his shirt to a nearby official and then took a small boat to flee to the sea. After Tay Son discovered he was being cheated, Nguyen Anh arrived in Con Dao.

4 years later, cornered again, Nguyen Anh continued to flee to Phu Quoc, leaving his wife and children on the island and returning to Cochinchina to confront Tay Son. When Nguyen Anh saw that the people of Phu Quoc were suffering from pirates in 1795, he dominated the fleet of dozens of warships that returned to the island, destroying and capturing 80 pirates and collecting many weapons, including cannons.

When Nguyen Anh took the throne in 1802, he gave priority to creating conditions for the career of the people on Phu Quoc Island and helped this place to be successful at that time. The places where Gia Long King once landed and was stationed during the confrontation with the Tây SÆ¡n army were all called Bãi Ngá»±.

Today, the beaches of the paradise island of Phu Quoc are densely populated, often with boats that come in and out. This is a place with clear and blue sea water, a beautiful landscape with rows of maple trees, old square eagles and coconut palms. Top  King Nguyen Anh ordered the dogs to follow him as "saving the danger of Royal Highness, the god of divine generals".

The dog Phu Quoc once freed the king from the siege of the Tay Son troops and prepared an accomplishment to save the king twice from death. The book "Nguyá»…n Phúc Clan Pedigree Wall Map", which explains the stories of the kings, has carefully recorded their stories. When the four dogs died, the king even buried them and built a solemn shrine.

Phu Quoc dogs are called "dog-dog" or "fire wolf" because they are extremely smart and brave, can hunt and save for their owners, so hunters trust them.
